Justine is a NY licensed acupuncturist (M.S., L.Ac.) and graduate of Tri-State College of Acupuncture in Manhattan. While completing her degree, she interned with a fertility acupuncturist, focusing on comprehensive care for women's health. She is also certified by the NCCAOM in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture. Prior to acupuncture, she studied creative writing as an undegraduate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, traveled extensively in Southeast Asia and Europe inspired by cultural + traditional forms of self-care and healing, and worked closely with friends in farm-to-table food worlds for many years. I believe health is a reflection of how we live - eat, move, breathe, care - and I'm inspired to help others live better. I believe local medicine - how we take care of ourselves - is our best medicine.
Justine treats clients with a wide variety of health concerns, with special focus on:
digestive + gut health
hormonal balance + fertility
depression + anxiety
healthy weight loss
In her training, she studied three different styles of acupuncture: traditional Chinese medicine, Japanese + Kiiko Matsumoto, and physical medicine. Her individualized treatments - combining acupuncture with dietary + lifestyle counseling - are based on an integrative and holistic approach, which focuses on the body’s natural ability to restore balance and healing. Her continued studies include courses in nutrition, microbiome research, and western herbs.
